Syndikat-Mobi 7.8.2020: Long jingle EN

The collective bar Syndikat in Berlin-Neukölln has an eviction date scheduled for 7 August 2020, an eviction backed up by the governing left R2G coalition and pushed forward by Pears Global, a real estate group from London, that manages its roughly more than 6,000 apartments in Berlin through a complex mesh of subsidiaries – and who only came into the public light in the context of Syndikat’s resistance.

We want to show our support and solidarity with this social space by means of this and other jingles.

But there are amore projects in danger of eviction in Berlin. So, get involved – as we are all foing to stay!

Alfredo Tralcal Coche, Pablo Trangol Galindo, Benito Trangol Galindo and Ariel Trangol Galindo are imprisoned precisely in the jail in Temuco, Chile, since July 9th of 2016, accused of setting a church on fire with only one piece of evidence against them: the statement of a witness without a face who claims to have seen a truck similar to that of Lonko Alfredo Tralcal Coche near the fire.

After one year deprived of their liberty, without evidence against them, without a set sentence or a reasonable date of trial, on july 7th of 2017, the comuneros decided to begin an indefinite hunger strike with the following demands: 1) fair trial within a reasonable date; 2) no to the use of the antiterrorist law 18314; 3) no to the use of witnesses without faces; 4) liberty under article 140; 5) repeal of the cautionary measure of preventative prison.

[A-Radio in English] Reportback from Charlottesville: Unite the Right and the murder of Heather Heyer

On August 11 and 12th, fascists of different stripes organized a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, they called “Unite the Right”. Counter protesters and antifascists mobilized and managed to practically stop this ugly event. A fascist then drove his car into a group of counter protesters, wounding more than a dozen and killing Heather Heyer in the process.

As Anarchist Radio Berlin we had the opportunity of talking to a comrade from the US who participated in the antifascists protests. We talked about the Unite the Right event as such, about the different forms of fascists gathering there, about the counterprotests, the tragic murder of Heather Heyer and the medic and trauma facilities made available by antifascists groups. Also we tackle the topic of people discussing arming themselves and how to go forward from here.

Channel Zero geht online – ein anarchistisches Podcastnetzwerk mit 24/7-Online-Stream

+++++++++ English below +++++++++++

Channel Zero is a newly formed podcast network of several anarchist and anti-authoritarian English language podcasts. We are proud to unveil a 24-7 radical audio stream, and a website that makes it easier for you to discover new radical podcasts or hear an uninterrupted mix of the shows you already love. Our goal is to expand the reach of anarchist analysis into a larger and more public audience, within a horizontally run organization that is lead by the podcasters themselves. Because now more than ever it is vital that we build our own platforms, our own infrastructure and thus, our own power.

Current shows include: The Final Straw Radio, Kite Line Radio, Rust Belt Abolition Radio, the Crimethinc Ex-Worker Podcast, SubMedia, The Rebel Beat, A-Radio Berlin, The Danthropology Podcast, the Solecast, Which Side Podcast, Resonance: an Anarchist Audio Distro and the IGDCAST — and we’re excited to welome more exciting, beautiful, and engaging projects as we move forward.

B(A)D NEWS – Angry voices from around the world – Episode 2 (07/2017)

The Anarchist Radio Network just released the second episode of its international news show “B(A)D NEWS – Angry voices from around the world”!

“B(A)D NEWS – Angry voices from around the world” is a monthly news program from the international network of anarchist and antiauthoritarian radios, consisting of short news segments from different parts of the world. As an international network of radio projects, we believe in the importance of international solidarity. And we also recognize the importance and the need to create and disseminate our own media and counterinformation.

We hope, with this effort, to reach out to other anarchist and antiauthoritarian projects, groups and individuals, and to strengthen our connections and our struggles in sharing our stories.

Although this program is in English, we recognize that even this ‘international’ language can be alienating to some and we want to encourage others to create and share similar content in their own languages.

[A-Radio in English] Brazil 1: Indigenous Struggles in the Amazon

In May 2017 we had the opportunity to have a talk with Daniel, an activist living in the Brazilian territory of the Amazon. The conversation touches on the general situation in Brazil and focusses on the recent history of indeginous struggles in the Amazon against capitalist expansion and exploitation, especially the ongoing resistance of the Munduruku communities and their use of direct action to demarcate and defend their territories. A culmination of anti-colonial, social and ecological fights on the frontier of the enclosure and integration of capitalism of our planet.

[A-Radio in English] Azerbaijan: state repression and the anarchist’s speech in court

In May of 2016, two of our comrades in Azerbaijan, Qiyas Ibrahimov and Bayram Mammadov, were arrested for spraypainting the monument of the former dictator Haydar Aliev. It was on the night before the so-called “Flower holiday”, a day made up in conmemoration of Haydar, the father of the current President of Azerbaijan. Nonetheless, as the charges for spraypainting would not have been very high, more than 1 kilogram of heroin was planted in each of our comrades’ homes.

They were processed on different trials. Qiyas has already been sentenced to 10 years of prison, his friend Bayram Mammadov is still on trial.

From Azerbaijani comrades we received the text of Qiyas’ speech in front of the jury, him being interrupted regurlarly by the judge. In support of his case, we made an audio version of this speech and the judge’s comments.

You can find the speech in the attached document.

[A-Radio in English] Antifenix: Interview on the repression against anarchists in Czech

In the context of the International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners (23.-30th of August 2016), we had the opportunity of talking to a comrade from Anarchist Black Cross (ABC) in Czech Republic. The interview gives a short summary of the repression that started in 2015 and explains the singular cases and their current development, but deals also with the problems the movement had in the beginning to show solidarity. Last but not least, you get very good advice on the topic of solidarity and what to do yourselves.

Since the interview, another comrade is in prison. Lukáš Borl, who had been living underground, has been arrested by the police on September 4.

Sur negro / No Borders: new antiauthoritarian Web Series goes live / 1st Season: social struggles in the USA

‘No Borders, Social Struggles across the world’ (Sin Fronteras, La lucha social a través del mundo) is the name of a web series presenting experiences of social organizations and anti-capitalist resistance in different regions of the world. Its special focus lies on anti-authoritarian practices within social movements.

The first season of this web series was realized in cooperation with Anarchist Radio Berlin (member of the Federation of German-speaking Anarchists, FdA / International of Anarchist Federations, IFA), Black Rose Anarchist Federation Locals and Casa Volnitza (Anarchist Social Center in Santiago de Chile). Recorded in the year 2015 in 12 cities of the U.S. the web series is organized in 11 chapters. Each chapter of 30 minutes contains interviews with social and political organizations that explain their practices and therefore give detailed insights into the contexts of their social struggles in their city. In addition, each chapter has a music segment presenting musicians involved in their cities’ struggles.

This is the trailer for the web series:

The web series “Sin Fronters/No Borders” (SN/NB) as a project of the video collective Sur Negro Comunicaciones and is based on a wide network of people in different parts of this planet, collaborating with a wide range of technical knowledge and skills. The team of translation and interpretation is of vital importance for this project, helping to cross borders and to hopefully reach the whole world soon. New collaborators are therefore always welcome! For now, the episodes are available in English and Spanish. Subtitles are also available in these two languages.

All episodes of the first season can be found for free on the project’s website. Right now, the first episode on social struggles in New York is already online.

Would you like to support the project?

Much like any media and propaganda project, Sur Negro requires the economic resources in order to grow and consolidate its international platform. Thanks to the monetary support of comrades from affinity organizations and help from a large network of collaborators, it could realize the filming phase of the web series in the US.

But there are still cost that need to be covered. This includes debts accumulated and the ongoing costs of production, servers, and equipment. In addition, there is the cost of organizing the international propaganda. The total sum amounts to US$ 15,000. At this phase help is needed from all those who support the development and necessity of media projects that seek to strengthen our social struggles across the globe.

You can help with financing ‘No Borders’. Your support will help finalize the first season of this series, as well as future seasons in other regions around the world.

DONATE HERE

If you are unable to collaborate economically, you can also help with other necessary skills. This is an open call for those who wish to contribute and help further develop the ‘No Borders’ series in the following areas:

* Translators (Spanish and English)
* Illustrators, designers, musicians, journalists, or any other media-related skills
* Help with the spread of the project in a specific region
* Feedback on the project directly at: contact/at/surnegro.tv

In this interview she tells us about the origins of this concept, the misconceptions and popular defensive strategies and also about the actual practice and constant development of this policy that deals with conflict resolution in political structures and survivor-lead processes in case of physical abuse.

Listen to this fascinating and detailed introduction into the practical side of “Safer Spaces”.
